There are two opportunities for session participation at the Annual Training Conference: workshops and clinics. Please refer to the session details and tips offered below prior to submitting a proposal.
These are either half or full-day in length sessions, typically taking place on the Tuesday – but may also take place on other days of the conference. These sessions can either be free for conference attendees or cost to attend.
These are sessions that range from 45 minutes to 180 minutes in length. Typically, 6 - 8 clinics are offered on the Wednesday and Thursday. Clinics are free for conference attendees.
The proposal submission process is comprised of the following steps:
Please write a clinic or workshop description and session title that conference attendees would read in the conference agenda when determining which workshops and clinic to attend. The clinic descriptions should be approximately 125 words in length, while the workshops can be greater in length.
Decisions will be carefully weighed against all final proposals to determine which contribute the most to delegate knowledge and contain subject matter currently relevant to the bylaw profession, senior leadership (i.e. managing people, supervisors responsibilities under WorkSafe legislation, etc.) and personal development. Proponents will be informed of the Committee's decisions by end of January.
